letters....because they can express so much more than email. Possibly because the writer is physically connected so much to the object. This example pushes the definition of a letter, in that it assumes the role of a shared sketch book between to friends. Both parties write one another on pages they have illustrated. It is a novel context to generate collaborative work. Enjoy these selections.

First and final production run has finally come to a conclusion. All copies have been had bound, sewn, and numbered. We birthed a litter of little zines! Just like children, each one is unique, individual and distinct from the others. Some have red thread, while others have blue, black, green or any combination under the rainbow! Some are bound slightly different than others. They have different levels of finesse and polish to each one. Unique extras abound, and are placed in different locations in each zine. Which ever copy of Pregnant Minds vol. 1 finds its way to your home, you can be assured none other exists exactly like it anywhere in the universe!

We here at PM, are thrilled with our first volume. Though barely off the press, and not even in full distribution, we find our wheels are already turning and conceptualizing about our next issue. What theme should it be? What form will it take, (digital, print, zine, service project, renegade art show)? How will it be different, more inclusive, interactive, tactile, physical, digital, ethereal, and above all experimental?

The success of PM is due largely to the creative contributions from fellow collaborators. With that in mind we invite you to email us with any exciting and creative ideas you have for PM vol.2, no matter how elaborate. Inspiration grows inspiration.

Like coach said..."its all in the follow through." Summer is full of energy, shifting ideas, and passions. Some plans remain constant, while some are just in limbo. However, without further anticipation, let us introduce the premiere cover of the first issue of Pregnant Minds vol. 1 Endless Summer.

We are rounding the corner to home base. We've printed out an initial draft, and are very pleased with the layouts. Awesome work everyone! Thanks again to all the contributors. We've got a hemp book jacket being produced by a local seamster, and printing being done by Gulala.

Release Shindig? A gathering is in order to commemorate the debut issue with such amazingly talented contributors. Endless Summer. Buy a zine, get a free beer! Ideas and interested parties should send an email.

Pregnant Minds is about to be born. Thanks to all the contributors and the amazing creative collaboration! We're super pumped to show you how it all works together. We've got photography, illustration, screen printed work, short stories, poetry, design, hand made paper samples, DIY cardboard tripod, a hemp book jacket in the works, and awesomeness at the forefront. Wow!

What path led you here? Curious by the name? Pregnant Minds. Do you have an idea or creative experiment that needs to get out into the world? Is your mind pregnant with possibility? If ideas are brain babies, this is their playpen. A limited run hand-made zine with original contributions among all the realms of creativity. Here is your inspiration. Get involved with something creative this summer.

You have a talent or creative gift that needs sharing with other creatives. Artists live off each other and feed on the energy and inspiration that challenges us to be better artists, more provocative writers, conscious poets, or deepened creative souls. Welcome friend. This is not a critique, this is a platform, so let that free you. We are not left leaning or right, do or do not. We are forward thinking, bubble blowing, supportive, creatively motivated, alive, and ready to take the next step to fruition.

Take this journey with us. We've got some exciting things ahead. So let those brain babies grow, feed and nurture them. Tell us about progress, and get pumped, inspired and excited, because we already are. Endless Summer!
